New Streamlined Customer Portal Experience
When sharing records or forms with external guests, they will have a much simplified and streamlined and customized experience.
While the portal is available all license plans including free plans, there is limits to customization possible for each tier. PRO Plans can change the top left logo and can remove some references to AnyDB in the interfaces. Business Plans can modify the custom text below the greeting.
Team Customization Options
Pro and Business users can customize business logo and the custom portal message for their guest accounts accessing records and forms via the portal.
New Manage Templates Dialog
The new templates management screen allows you to view all templates used in the database and also allows you to edit the template or delete templates.
Clicking on the template shows you more details about the template including the number of records using it and even allowing you to open those records.
It is also possible to delete a template and all of its records from this dialog. Previously deletion of a template was only possible when you had removed all records from that template.
Additionally, the template dialog shows all versions of templates including older versions so it is possible to clean up old versions of templates easily.
Support Name Based Template Specifications
When selecting specific templates (for example in attachment cells), previously it would be connected to a specific Template ID. Which meant that once you update the template by editing it, those existing connections to templates would all need to be updated manually. This is especially important for complex setups of templates which depend on each other.
Additionally when creating a new record from listings of records of an old version of a template will create the latest version of that template which allows seamless usage of the newer versions.
Custom URL support
Based on customer feedback business edition and above can customize their AnyDB URL to be mycompany.anydb.com instead of app.anydb.com
Minor Updates
- You can use CURRREC as a short cut for CURRENT RECORD instead of CURRDOC previously
- Direct Links now supported allowing ability to share a link to a record without having to share it
- Google Sheets now supported for new AI import based flows
Bug Fixes
- Clearing cell background color cause crash
- Duplicate Record didn’t work properly from quick view of a record
- After editing and saving a template, a message shows up that migration is in progress and it will take some time.
- Images up to 20 MB now can be previewed. Even if there is no preview, it can still be downloaded.
- Fix Read only shares allowed interaction with references and files
- Shared objects shouldn’t have +Attach option
- Versions are not shown for files and folders
- Cell References didn’t work correctly in public shares
