Workspace vs Data in AnyDB: What’s the Difference?
AnyDB gives you two views that work together to support your operations: Workspace and Data View. Understanding how they differ will help you build a clear and well-structured system.
Workspace View
Your operational space. This is where you organize work in a way that reflects how your team operates in real life.
You can:
Create folders and subfolders
Store documents, media, and forms
Build client or project spaces
Mix structured and unstructured content
Think of it like Finder, File Explorer, or Drive. Workspace is your structure.
Data View
Your clean list of all data, separated by templates.
You can:
Filter, search, and sort
Switch between templates in one click
Access automations and forms connected to each template
Records grouped by templates (Orders, Customers, Shipments, etc.)
How They Work Together
Workspace: Create records and organize them into folders along with your files and pages.
Data: View all your records in one clean, unified list.
Both use the same underlying records. No clutter. No duplicates.
