The AnyDB Task template provides a flexible and lightweight framework for attaching action items to any record within the system. It is designed to support follow-ups, reminders, or discrete to-dos across templates—such as projects, clients, employees, or SOPs—without the need for complex task management software.

Description

This template captures the essentials of a task: description, priority, status, creation and follow-up dates, and a dynamic badge-driven summary. It is built to be embedded or attached to other templates, helping teams track what needs to happen and when—within the context of existing work.

Users can type a task summary, select a Priority (e.g., Urgent, High, Medium, Low), and track its Status (Open or Closed). A Follow-Up Date is automatically linked to the parent document's follow-up field, and the task's creation time is recorded for audit purposes.

Two visual badges appear in dashboards:

  • Status Badge – Color-coded as Open (pink) or Closed (green)
  • Priority Badge – Color-coded based on urgency (red = Urgent, yellow = Medium, etc.)

Key Data Stored

  • Task Description – Freeform text field
  • Priority Level – Dropdown: Urgent, High, Medium, Low, None
  • Status – Open or Closed (locked once controlled via parent)
  • Created Date – Timestamp of task creation
  • Follow-Up Date – Synced to parent item’s due date
  • Badges – Status and Priority for quick filtering in dashboards
  • Integration Ready – Lightweight and embeddable within any parent record
